Police State

Tough on crime or just lawless tyrants? The Houston city council has gone completely 1984 by forcing businesses to spend their own money to install high definition security cameras, from which the police can then extract footage without a warrant. This is flatly unconstitutional on several counts and will certainly be challenged in court.

Technocrats love to work within a large police force because it is authoritarian and prone to concealment of miscreant policies such as maintaining a DNA database on innocent citizens. This blatantly violates state and national law plus the U.S. Constitution itself. Technocrats crave and hoard data like an addict craves and hoards heroin.

To the Technocrat mind, surveillance is seen as some sort of divine right that gives them a moral free pass to look at anything they choose to look at. In this case, the Capitol Police appear to have been flipped into a type of  Praetorian Guard for the radical left to spy on certain Congressmen and their staff. In a sane world, congressional and staff perpetrators would be summarily ejected from the capitol.
