Technocrats at Google have a scientific solution for every problem, including cities. The problem is that Google or any other Big Tech company has no experience in urban planning or designing cities, so the result is nothing more than their own private vision of Utopia.

Like 1984's Ministry of Truth, Technocrats use the government propaganda machine to redefine their goals into customer benefits, for instance, "Smart technology should be seen as a means to an end to deliver outcomes, rather than an end in itself."

Super-Technocrat Micheal Bloomberg is changing the face of philanthropy by promoting data-driven giving toward projects that promote Technocracy. Most philanthropy occurs without scrutiny or fanfare, but hundreds of millions of dollars per year can change the face of a nation within just a few years.

Technocracy's 1930s claim of being the "science of social engineering" is clearly seen in every aspect of today's smart buildings and smart cities. Advanced technology is used to monitor, manage, control and predict every conceivable aspect of urban existence.
