Amazon To Reduce Workforce As AI Displaces Humans

Amazon is the canary in the coal mine, the bellwether of AI adoption. Current employees have been put on notice that Amazon will continue to use AI at every turn to displace human workers. Since 2015, the ratio of human workers to robots has decreased from 7.7 to 2.1. Robot growth since 2014 exceeds 750 percent.
