China's massive camera ad AI-driven surveillance system has reached the point where authorities can pluck undesirables individuals out of millions and simply make them disappear. It happens so fast and without notice that relatives and friends are left with no answers and worse, no proof. This is reminiscent of Orwell's Nineteen Eighty-Four when 'people simply disappeared."
