HAARP was deactivated in the early 2010s but it may be springing back to operational status in 2021 as the FAA issues a flight advisory about electromagnetic radiation over its location in Gulkana, Alaska. It's purpose is shrouded in secrecy but it is directed at Earth's ionosphere.
